How to organize the network cabinet

The network cabinet is complex, and after long-term use, there will be problems such as aging of the line and dust affecting communication. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly organize and check the use of the cabinet.


1. Preliminary preparation

First, inform the user to tidy the cabinet without affecting the user’s normal work. Then draw the wiring diagram and equipment location diagram inside the cabinet according to the network topology, existing equipment, number of users, user grouping and other factors. Next, prepare the required materials: network jumper, label paper, various types of plastic ties.

2. Organize the installation of network cabinets:

You need to do the following three things by yourself: First, use the screws and nuts with the frame to tighten the fixed frame; Second, turn down the cabinet and install the movable wheels; Third, adjust and add baffles on the fixed frame according to the position of the equipment.


3. Sorting lines:

Group network cables. The number of groups is usually less than or equal to the number of cable management racks behind the cabinet. Bind the power cables of all equipment together, insert the plug from the rear through hole, and then find the respective equipment through a separate cable management rack.


4. Fixed equipment:

Adjust the baffle in the cabinet to the appropriate position, so that the administrator can see the operation of all devices without opening the cabinet door], and add the baffle appropriately according to the number and size of the devices. Be sure to leave a certain gap between the baffles. Place all switching equipment and routing equipment used in the cabinet according to the pre-drawn drawing.


5. Network cable labeling:

After all the network cables are connected, they need to be identified. Wrap the prepared instant note on the network cable and mark it with a pen (generally indicate the room number or purpose). The identification should be simple and understandable. Crossed network cables can be distinguished by using different colors of instant messaging and general network cables. If there are too many equipment, the equipment shall be classified and numbered and labeled.


6. Later work

Power-on test:

After confirming that there is no error, it is important to connect the power supply and conduct network connection test to ensure the normal operation of users.
